Dandruff Treatment
Unfortunately there is no cure for dandruff yet (once you get it you can continue to have it), but there are ways that you can control and limit the dandruff.

If you only have a mild case of dandruff, shampooing your hair with regular shampoo daily or twice daily will usually do the trick.

Begin by trying a mild shampoo, solid shampoo can irritate and dry out your hair making dandruff flaking worst.

If you do not get rid of the standard shampoo your dandruff, buy an anti-dandruff shampoo and your dandruff condition should improve within a few weeks signifigantly.

Choosing the right shampoo for your hair can be a process of trial and error, trying different shampoos to see which works best for you and also rotating shampoos periodically can be good for your hair.

Once you have found an anti-dandruff shampoo that works for you, stick with it or your dandruff will most likely happen again.

Foam and rinse twice when using anti-dandruff shampoo, the first cycle will clean your scalp, the second cycle will treat it.

If you think you may have a severe case of dandruff, it is recommended that you make an appointment with a dermatologist.

Poor health can be the cause of your dandruff, so be sure to get enough sleep, eat nutritiously, and avoid stress to encourage activity.

Something in your diet may cause you to have an allergic reaction and trigger dandruff occurs, try to limit your diet and see if you get better dandruff. Some foods that commonly cause alergic reactions cause dandruff including nuts, Choclate and shellfish.

If you have to scratch your head, avoid using your nails to scratch (you'll risk infection if you are) instead of using the pads of your fingers.

Wear a hat outside on days that are very cold, windy, and when you will come out in the sun for long-term.

Use a humidifier to maintain humidity.

Limit use of hair dyes and hair styling products with alcohol which dries hair.

Make sure that you get sufficient amounts of B6 in your diet, which will help prevent dandruff.

Massage your scalp with your fingertips in a circular motion to increase circulation.
